By road
Oia is located on the southern coast of Pontevedra, between the municipalities of A Guarda and Baiona, and is easily accessible by road. The PO-552 runs along the entire coastline and connects Oia with Vigo (around 40 km away) and with the Portuguese border via A Guarda. From inland areas, Oia can be reached via the AG-57 as far as Baiona, then joining the PO-552 southwards.
The journey offers spectacular scenery between sea and mountains, with winding roads skirting the cliffs and continuous views over the Atlantic. Oia can also be reached by bus from Vigo or A Guarda, with regular services running along the coast.

By sea
Oia looks directly out onto the Atlantic, between cliffs and small coves, making its coastline a place of remarkable beauty for those arriving by sea. Although the Porto de Santa María de Oia is used for fishing, leisure boats can easily access the nearby ports of Baiona, home to the prestigious Monte Real Club de Yates, and A Guarda, both of which offer nautical services, fuel and berths managed by Portos de Galicia (Zona Sur).
Sailing to this area is a unique experience, offering the chance to discover the wildest stretch of the Rías Baixas coastline, with spectacular views and the charm of a municipality that lives facing the sea.

By air
The nearest airport to Oia is Vigo Airport (Peinador), located around 45 kilometres to the north, with domestic and international flights and good road connections. From there, the journey to Oia takes just over 40 minutes, following the AP-9 to Vigo and then joining the PO-552 towards Baiona and A Guarda.
Other convenient options are the airports of Santiago de Compostela (150 km away) and Porto (in Portugal, around 120 km away), both of which offer a wide range of flights and car hire services.
