This route covers the western sector of Monte da Valga. It follows paths and tracks with gentle gradients, making it a circular walk suitable for visitors of all ages. It is very common to come across wild horses, or garranos, which live freely among the woodlands, wetlands and streams that can be seen along the route.

It is recommended to follow the route clockwise, leaving the visit to Curro da Valga until the end.

The Senderos da Valga are signposted in both directions, so the routes can be combined in different ways.

The circular route that forms the perimeter of the three trails covers 16.1 km and takes visitors through woodlands, wetlands and streams, from the depths of the valley to the highest areas, even allowing clear views of the mouth of the River Miño as it flows into the Atlantic Ocean.
