This itinerary follows the forest service tracks that cross the western slope of the Serra da Groba through the parishes of Santa María de Oia, San Mamede de Pedornes, San Miguel de Viladesuso and Santa Uxía de Mougás, forming a linear route of 15 km with a moderate to low level of difficulty, combining natural and historical heritage. If all the points of interest indicated along the route are visited, the total distance walked is close to 20 km. It is recommended to start the route at A Pedreira Viewpoint, on the road linking Oia and Torroña, bearing in mind that vehicle support will be needed in order to complete it in one direction only and finish the walk at Camping O Muiño.
The route features several notable sites with impressive panoramic views over the Atlantic coastline, together with groups of petroglyphs and remains of fortified enclosures, especially Castro de A Cabeciña.
