The route begins in the hamlet of Acevedo, at 93 metres above sea level, and climbs to an altitude of 368 metres. It is the most demanding of the three routes because of its steep slopes. In return, it offers beautiful views over the valleys of the Acevedo stream, the River Tamuxe and the River da Cal. In the more open sections, visitors can see the mouth of the River Miño, with the Portuguese town of Caminha on the left bank and Monte de Santa Tegra on the right. The section descending along the River da Cal is of particular interest, both for its natural beauty and for the presence of several old mills.

The Senderos da Valga are signposted in both directions, so the different routes can be combined in various ways.

The circular route forming the perimeter of the three trails covers 16.1 km and takes visitors through woodlands, wetlands and streams. It leads from the depths of the valley to the highest areas, even allowing clear views of the mouth of the River Miño as it meets the Atlantic Ocean.
